Schmaltz
Schmaltz is the stale, slightly fuzzy leftovers from past San Diego nonphenomes such as Daddylongleggs, Creedle, Wormdrive, Blind Justice, and most notably,,, Schmaltz. Since this current incarnation of Schmaltz started out as a conceptual continuation of the Schmaltz of the early 90s, there is a basic foundation of sarcasm and smart-assery poured along-side a bed of dirt and Rock, held in place by a bounding box of musical trickery and instrumental virtuoso so-so. Recent modifications and add-ons include vocal Basso Profundo redundo, Guest singer options, and 2 mallets & 2 tiny cymbals. We feel that these few additions give us ample distinction from the Schmaltz of days past, while retaining the last remaining construction worker from the old work site, who's still cemented in, up to his chin in the Prog thing. Despite the bad economy, and low demand for yet another damn band, Schmaltz construction is due to resume immediately..... |
